I think when the moving thing is over and done, I´ll do a raw vegan detox again
Because I did it in the summer and it was awesome.
I think I need a bit of a cleanse after this weekend…
Just because I´ve been stressing, my hormones are crazy and I´m having my fitness-free weekend so super clean food+lots of water+lots of green tea+lots of detox tea+lots (but not too much) exercise+lots of sauna+lots of salt baths+lots of DIY body treatments.
Anyone wanna be my cleansebuddy? :)
SHRIMP CURRY

Start by chopping up veggies. I had an onion, a bell pepper, a tomato and 4 inches of zucchini. Mince up some garlic and ginger. Throw the veggies, garlic and ginger to a wok. Cook them for a few minutes. Pour in about 1/4 cup of coconut milk (I used lite) and simmer for 2 minutes. Add in a splash of soy sauce and some chili. Add about 2 handfulls of shrimp and let it cook for a few minutes, until the shrimp is cooked. Enjoy!
First day of the Detox :)
I´ve been awake for about 1,5 hours and I´ve already had a liter of water woohoo!
So my plan for today is to exercise, cook, read and do spa-treatments. I think I´ll do some kind of a bodyscrub and I will write the recipe in here too so you guys can try it!
What it comes to exercise, I will have to get creative. As I wrote like a week ago, I´m changing my medication (depression&anxiety) and that causes some side effects. Last Thursday was the day I was supposed to stop my old meds completely and now I´m going without any meds. The problem is, I get these weird electrick things in my head, like electrick shocks. They come like over 5 times/minute and it´s really really really disturbing. I also weel a bit sick, expecially during the shocks. So I´m a bit afraid of going running, just because my balance can be a bit off. But I think I´ll go today with indoor biking and some home exercises and maybe go for a walk to get some fresh air.
I think I´ll make myself a nice stew out of veggies, fish, shrimp and coconutmilk for lunch. I´ve been craving that for a while now and it suits the Detox perfectly. Can´t wait!
How about you guys?
The Mealplan example
So as I also said was that I would post a mealplan, that you can use. Really it´s just an example about the Detox, so you get the idea better. Anyways, here it is…
Breakfast:
An oven baked eggwhite omelette of 3 eggehites, ½ cup dry oats as oatmeal with a chopped apple, cinnamon and raisins.
OR
A fruitplate (your favourite fruits, about three pieces) and 2 egg omelette fried in coconut oil with veggies.
Lunch:
A salad of dark green leafy veggies (spinach, kale, romaine…), grated carrot, tomato and pearslices with ½ cup cooked quinoa and fish/shrimp/eggs/tofu/lean chicken or turkey.
OR
Clear veggiesoup with a source of protein.
Dinner:
Tomato-based lentil soup with a side salad
OR
Check the lunch options
Ideas of snacks:
- Fruits
- Veggies with homemade hummus or adip (recipes coming)
- Salad
- Clear veggiesoup (recipe coming)
- Smoothie
BASIC THINGS
EXERCISE
- Leafy greens (aragula, seaweeds, salads like romain…the darker the better!)
- Fresh herbs
- Carrot
- Fennel
- Celery
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Bean sprouts
- Beets
Basically you can eat any veggies you want to, Í´m not limiting them anyway. Use them in smoothies, soups, salads…Best way to use them is to have them raw. Best ways to cook them is steaming and boiling them for a short time.
Fruits, the best ones for detox are…
- Cranberries
- Apples
- Grapefruit
- Citrus
- Cherries
- Figs
Limitless in here too. In this mealplan there are only a little grains other carbs, so really you don´t have to think the calories or carbs of the fruits.
Other limitless things are spices, water and (gren/white)tea. Water/tea intake should be around 3 liters.
LIMIT
- Bad starches (grains, potatoes)
- Milk products, especially heavy things and stuff that has been processed. Stick with yogurt (greek) and cottage cheese.
So this category is a list, that says what you can have in small amounts. A cup or two coffee a day is fine. Passive smoking is bad for you, try to avoid it as much as possible. Bad startches aren´t very good for detox as they can make you feel sluggish. So try to limit your grain/potato intake to 1-2 portions/day. Milk products are usually very processed (even milk goes trough a lot of things you don´t even think about) so I´d suggest you change them to vegan options or just ditch them totally. A plain yogurt here and there is not bad, but watch the intake.
NO-NOs
- Sugar (doesn´t include natural sugar in fruits)
- Sweeteners such as Splenda
- Overeating
- Junk food
- Processed food
I think I don´t even have to explain these.
So here´s the basics of it! Tomorrow I´ll post some To Do-s and recipes :)
